Alessio Cerci’s Milan experience is over as he’s joined Genoa on loan (but is still owned by Atletico Madrid).
The deal between Milan, Atletico and Genoa has been in place for a
while now but this week the Qatari fund that owns 50 per cent of the
player finally gave their ‘yes’ as well and today the player has
completed his move to the Grifone.
Alessio went through the medical check-ups on Tuesday and signed the
contract, ending his Milan career after 12 months, which were very
disappointing.
“Genoa Cricket and Football Club announces that it has acquired from AC Milan the rights of the player Alessio Cerci,” an official statement reads on the Grifone’s website. “The formula of the transfer is a loan.” Cerci is joining Suso at Genoa as the Spniard moved there earlier on loan as well.
The 28-year-old played 33 matches at Milan between the last two
seasons (15 matches this term) and scored just one goal. He will try to
reluanch his career with the colours of Genoa.
