| Stephan El Shaarawy has completed his move to Roma, who will pay the Rossoneri €1.4m for the loan. |
Monaco decided not to take-up their buy-out option on El Shaarawy and since the Rossoneri already have too many attackers in their squad, they’ve chosen to send him elsewhere and last night the move to Roma became official.
“AS Roma are delighted to announce the signing of Stephan El Shaarawy from AC Milan,” a statement on Roma’s website reads. “The Italian forward joins on a loan deal until 30 June 2016, for a fee of €1.4 million.
“The agreement includes an option to make the deal permanent, for a fee of €13 million, before the beginning of the 2016-17 season. The 23-year-old Italian international signed his contract with the Giallorossi having successfully passed his medical in Rome.” Milan also confirmed the agreement.
El Shaarawy will look to relaunch himself in the colours of Roma and recapture the form he had in the 2012/13 season in which he finished as Milan’s top scorer with 19 goals.
