Mihajlovic told Milan Channel that
his side aren't showing that they have 'balls' at the moment, and
criticised the efforts of his players. Mihajlovic admitted that he's
tried almost everything to get his players to perform, but the training
camp will be his final attempt at turning things around.
Coach Mihajlovic: "We will now go into a training retreat until the situation improves" https://t.co/298wxcFSD3 pic.twitter.com/f5dhP7sOvq
He said: "Unfortunately we've got our defects and the time has come for us to look each other in the eye. We've got to show that we've got balls, if we've got them.
"If you don't run and you don't fight, then it's hard to win. For this, my team's going to be in a training camp up to Saturday.
"We're
at breaking point. This is the last option open to us - we've tried
everything else. If it doesn't help, then I'll assume my responsibility.
We've picked up two points from four games against sides who are below
us. That's unacceptable and I apologise to the fans.
"Our
training camp's going to last at least up to Saturday, but it could go
on to the end of the season if needed. We can't carry on the way things
are."
Mihajlovic told Mediaset that
the training camp decision had come from both himself at the club,
though he confirmed he hadn't spoken to club president Silvio Berlusconi
about it.
He added: "I didn't talk to him, I spoke with [general manager Adriano] Galliani who called the president to inform him of this decision. We need to finish the season off in the best way we can and win the Coppa Italia.
"Talking about the future gets us nowhere. I think my team could have done better, but we deserve to be sixth.
