Arsenal Transfer News: Carlos Bacca Eyed, Latest Jorginho Rumours

Arsenal will reportedly make a move for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca if Alexis Sanchez leaves the Gunners in the summer.
The Chilean is unquestionably one of Arsenal's most important players, but they reportedly "face a battle this summer to keep hold" of him with Juventus and Atletico Madrid both interested, per Steve Stammers in the Mirror.

According to ITA Sport Press (via Metro's Tom Olver), Bacca is being eyed as Sanchez's potential replacement as Milan are planning to cash in on the Colombian.

He only joined the Serie A giants from Sevilla last summer for €30 million but could be available at the end of the season.
The fact that Milan are unlikely to qualify for the Champions League next season could see them sell Bacca, 29, with Bayern Munich also reportedly interested, per MilanNews (via Football Italia).
He has hardly lit up the Italian top flight this season but has still been a relatively prolific goalscorer, netting 14 goals in 30 appearances, while also providing two assists, per WhoScored.com.

Even if Sanchez stays at Arsenal, the Gunners still need added firepower in attack as Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud have failed to impress on a consistent basis recently.
Bacca would certainly be a reliable addition to the side as he has shown in the last few seasons that he is a very adept finisher—his two terms at Sevilla returned 34 La Liga goals in 71 appearances, per WhoScored.

There is a certain level of uncertainty at the Emirates at the moment with manager Arsene Wenger's position at Arsenal reportedly being considered, per Bleacher Report's Dean Jones:
The departure of Sanchez would be a huge blow, and Bacca would not be a like-for-like replacement, but he could be a useful addition given his finishing prowess.
Elsewhere, Napoli midfielder Jorginho would reportedly be open to a move to Arsenal if the Gunners went in for him.

His agent, Joao Santos, recently indicated as much to Radio Crc (via Samuel Stevens in the Independent):
Real Madrid and Arsenal know Jorginho, if they came forward with an official offer we’d talk but at the moment all I can say is that Jorginho has a five-year contract with Napoli and wants to play for them in the Champions League next year.
Brazilian-born Jorginho has been a key part of Napoli's excellent side this season and recently earned a first call-up to the Italian national team, per Italian outlet Calciomercato.com.
The 24-year-old central midfielder is a terrific distributor and likes to get on the ball as much as possible, per Opta:

With the likes of Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey, he could form a strong midfield unit at Arsenal, and the Gunners would seemingly have a good chance of landing him if they made a move.
