Blues set to swoop for £30m-rated AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli

Chelsea transfer report: Blues set to swoop for £30m-rated AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli

Chelsea are ready to splash £30m on AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli, according to reports in Italy.

The 21-year-old was a target for Arsenal last summer but ended up leaving Roma for the San Siro after a £20m deal was agreed.
Since making the switch, the Italian has impressed for Milan and caught the eye in Serie A with some impressive performances.
Chelsea, according to Calciomercato, are now ready to pounce for Romagnoli this summer as they search for a new centre-back.

Captain John Terry's contract expires in the summer and Kurt Zouma is a long-term absentee due to a knee injury.
As a result, Chelsea are ready to move for Romagnoli and have set aside £30m to complete a deal.
