The
family of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma are reportedly less
than pleased with super-agent Mino Raiola over the way the 18-year-old's
contract situation has been handled.
It
is said that Donnarumma's father, Alfonso, is particularly unhappy over
the way the situation has been handled. The teenager, whose family
trusted Raiola to handle his business, has been accused of being a
'snake' after turning his back on the club that gave him his chance.
Donnarumma has so far shaken off the criticism, as shown by his cool response to being showered with fake money during an Italy U21 game on Sunday night, but it is said that underneath he is burdened by the same concerns as his family.
It is now left for his family, most likely his father, to seek a meeting with Raiola to try and resolve the controversial situation. A displeased Milan are not obliged to let Donnarumma go until next summer should they wish to keep him and make things difficult for Raiola.
Donnarumma is thought to be a target of Real Madrid, who have given up on David De Gea.
Milan
publicly confirmed last week that Donnarumma had refused to sign a new
contract at the club to extend his terms beyond next summer, seemingly
leaving the Rossoneri resigned to selling the rising star or risk losing him for free 12 months down the line.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the relationship between player, Raiola and club have been left broken, seriously upsetting the Donnarumma family.
