Everton
winger Gerard Deulofeu has rejected the chance of a return to Barcelona
with AC Milan and Juventus both vying for his services.
The
Catalan club triggered a buy-back clause which was inserted into the
details of his transfer when he left the Nou Camp for Merseyside in
2015.
It enables them to re-sign
Deulofeu, a product of the celebrated La Masia academy, for a fee of
£10.5million if he agreed to the move.
AC Milan, who had Deulofeu on loan last season, and Juventus are both keen on the winger
The
winger has two years left on his current contract on Merseyside and
should he attract interest from elsewhere, a fee would have to be
discussed with the Toffees.
However he is not part of Ronald Koeman's long-term plans at Goodison Park.
At
23 Deulofeu is determined to find a permanent club where he plays
regular football and there is little guarantee of this at Barcelona
where the three attacking positions are occupied by Lionel Messi, Luis
Suarez and Neymar.
