AC Milan have been heavily spending in the summer since the club was
bought over by wealthy businessmen from China and recruited four players
- Ricardo Rodriguez, Andre Silva, Mateo Musacchio and Franck Kessie for a combined total of €75 million.
They now want to make Real Madrid's Casemiro their fifth signing of the
summer and are willing to spend any amount on the player, according to
Spanish news outlet Don Balon.
Many plaudits have argued that Casemiro has been the standout performer
for Real and the reason why Los Blancos were successful in the La Liga
and Champions League winning season.
He had an 84 percent pass completion rate, 78 percent successful
take-ons, 60 percent aerial duels won, and an average of five tackles
won in every game. He also won 33 tackles in the Champions League, more
than any other player.
AC Milan recognizes this trait and wants the player to bring some solidity and grit in the team.
Although Madrid would be unwilling to sell such an important player,
they have confirmed that Marcos Llorente, a Real Madrid youth team
player who went on loan to Aalves this past season, will be joining the
first team squad. Zidane is believed to be a huge fan of him and will be
open to the idea of Llorente taking over Casemiro.
