AC Milan felt like they were robbed after referee Davide Massa awarded Juventus a late controversial penalty in their game against the Serie A leaders on Friday night.
It was a classic Serie A rivalry that had quality Italian football and late drama. The Bianconeri clinched a 2-1 win against the Rossoneri, however, many Milanese fans thought is was a win assisted by the referee.
The
penalty was awarded to the hosts in injury-time. It was given
for Mattia de Sciglio's handball when Stephan Lichtsteiner's cross
struck the Milan defender's hand. The visitors were extremely
disappointed to end the match this way.
AC Milan and Juventus fans both had their say on twitter, with some sharing different views and reactions to the penalty call.
Safe to say neither coach is too happy #JuveMilan pic.twitter.com/PcgHICCcRL— ItalianFootballTV (@IFTVofficial) March 10, 2017
AC
Milan's manager Vincenzo Montella wasn't too impressed with the referee
in charge. The Italian even had to apologise after striker Carlos Bacca
exchanged words with touchline assistants. Juve's manager approached
this situation in a placid way.
How can anyone with an ounce of dignity, in the face of visual proof, still have the audacity to whine n say it was NOT a penalty #JuveMilan pic.twitter.com/vf7Cd2FtqD— ⚫Pinturicchio⚪ (@JPinturicchio) March 10, 2017

Even Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani brought himself into the chaos.
God help us if Juventus play Barcelona in the Champions League, it'll be a penalty every five minutes.— Sempre! (@SemprePodcast) March 10, 2017
Take this into consideration, would Milan be given a penalty in the same circumstance at the Juventus Stadium? Definitely not.— Rossoneri TV (@RossoneriTV) March 10, 2017
Hugely controversial penalty. A point was going fair, Juve missed many chances, Donnarumma was incredible.— Rossé Marrai-Ricco (@RossellaMarrai) March 10, 2017
Robbed penalty was a joke , playing in until Juventus got something , if they didnt give the penalty we'd still be playing in the morning— MilanMania (@milanmania) March 10, 2017
Donnarumma was not happy with the call on Juve's game-winning penalty. Thoughts? 樂 pic.twitter.com/2cL7kPBJxB— ItalianFootballTV (@IFTVofficial) March 10, 2017
