Arsene Wenger has dashed Arsenal fans’ hopes by insisting he is not after Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swedish striker is set to leave PSG when his contract expires
this summer, having won four straight French titles and become the
club’s all-time top scorer.
The former Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus is hitman is 34-years-old
now, but he has been linked with a swansong in the Premier League from
next season, having never played in England before.
But despite reports suggesting Arsenal are one club after him, Wenger has shot down those suggestions.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of the weekend match with Everton, via The Mirror:
“Look, at the moment, no. We are not on that case. We have other
worries at the moment. It’s short-term. We are not on Zlatan’s case. But
even at 34, he’s had a great season at PSG.
