Milan and Lazio have a long history of spectacular matches at San Siro
MILAN - Milan and Lazio will face each other on Sunday
evening 567 days after they last met at San Siro in the league. It was
August 31st 2014, the first round of Serie A and the rossoneri won 3-1
thanks to goals from Honda, Muntari and Menez.
On March 3rd 2013 Milan beat Lazio 3-0 and claimed third place in the
league where they went on to finish at the end of the season,
qualifying for the preliminary rounds of the Champions League against
PSV Eindhoven.
On September 21st 2008, after two defeats in the first two rounds of
the Serie A campaign, Milan bounced back against the biancocelesti (then
coached by Delio Rossi) with a 4-1 victory thanks also to Gianluca
Zambrotta's first goal for the rossoneri.
From 2003 to 2006 Milan won four consecutive games in Serie A against Lazio at home.
