Chievo
coach Rolando Maran was happy with his team’s performance against AC
Milan although he was slightly disappointed that they weren’t able to
convert it into three points.
The Gialloblu found the net in the 89th minute but Fabrizio Cacciatore’s header was disallowed for offside as the game finished goalless.
“We showed great personality in the game,” said Maran to Sky Sport Italia.
“We didn’t take risks and we had a lot of chances to take the lead.
“It was a good performance and we deserved the three points for the quality and sacrifices that we made.
“I feel sorry for the boys but it was a great effort. We wanted to do well and we did.
“Games are decided by individual moments and we should have been more clinical.”
The Flying Donkeys boss was also asked if he feels his side are safe from relegation following the result.
“Unfortunately not, there are still a lot of games left including many six-pointers,” Maran added.
“We need to keep running and not change our approach in upcoming fixtures.
“If we play like we did today then we will reach our objective soon.”
