Liverpool to sell two strikers this summer after Italian snub

LIVERPOOL will reluctantly welcome back Mario Balotelli this summer as AC Milan chase a replacement striker, according to reports.

Mario Balotelli has scored just three goals all season for AC Milan
Balotelli, 25, has endured a miserable season on loan at the San Siro that has been blighted by injuries and bad form.
Yet despite scoring just three goals all season there were reports that Milan were considering keeping him on for next season.
He does not feature in Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's plans and the Anfield club are said to be more than happy for Balotelli to have another year on loan in Serie A.

But Italian newspaper Tuttosport now claim Milan are ready to axe the former Manchester City striker and pursue alternative options.
According to the reports, Milan bosses will instead move for Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti.

The 27-year-old has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances this season and has only just returned from a six-week layoff.
He joined Genoa from Sassuolo in January last year and is also said to have caught the eye of Inter Milan scouts.
As for Balotelli, Liverpool are likely to sell the Italy international this summer along with fellow striker Christian Benteke.
Benteke yesterday revealed he would not have signed for the Merseyside club had he known how this debut season would pan out.
The Belgium forward has scored just one goal since December and has started just five games under Klopp in 2016.
