MILAN – Here
is what Jeremy Menez had to exclusively say to Milan Channel: It has been
great especially after such a long period out. I did not expect so much and I
was very pleased with the evening yesterday. It was not easy to be out for
seven months and I could not wait to get back on the pitch. The club,
President, Galliani, the staff and the players have been very close to me and
it was very important for me. I wanted to have the year I had last year but I
was out injured and I was disappointed but I had a desire to get back and do
well. I want to thank everyone. I think anything is possible and the team has
regained confidence so we need to keep going. We have to think about the league
now because there is still a long way to go. All the games are vital and what
will happen will happen. I am not 100 per cent fit just yet but give it five
games I will be there. I scored my first goal on 20 minutes so I was very
pleased. That meant a lot. I get on well with everyone and then it is up to the
coach to pick the team. We have a good team and we have to keep going the way
we have been.
