AC Milan coach
Sinisa Mihajlovic believes that recent positive
results have increased his squad’s confidence and there hasn’t been a
great change in style for the Rossoneri.
The Serbian is also adamant that he has always been confident in the work he is doing with the Rossoneri.
“The results have helped with a change of mentality, if you beat the
teams ahead of you it helps,” said Mihajlovic ahead of his side’s match
with Palermo.
“These results give the boys more conviction and faith in the work they are doing.”
The Diavolo boss also discussed his happiness with Milan’s 3-0 derby win over Inter.
“It’s a great feeling,” Mihajlovic went on.
“Now we have to look ahead to Palermo because nobody will talk about it anymore, people only remember the last game.
“The derby win should be like uncorking a bottle, we will see now if
it’s Champagne, Prosecco or just Lemonade that flows out in our next
games.”
The former Sampdoria coach also discussed the values he sees in his players and backroom staff.
“The fundamental things are loyalty and respect,” Mihajlovic added.
“When I say something they do it. The boys can see that we work for
18 hours a day, we’re always on the pitch and we’re passionate, we
always want to transmit a climate of calm and faith.
“I’ve not had any problems with the players, including those who don’t play.
“In management you have to make everyone feel important.
“There have been difficult moments but I’ve never feared for my job.
I’ve never displayed signs of nervousness and I’ve always kept my head
up.”
