AC Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic could decide to drop Liverpool loanee Mario Balotelli after his actions in the 2-1 victory over Genoa this past weekend, The Sun reports.
The 25-year-old striker failed to impress after his move to Anfield back in the summer of 2014 and was eventually sent back to previous club Milan a season later.
Upon his arrival, he struggled with a number of injury concerns before returning to full fitness ahead of the recent match against Genoa.
The manager later came out to blast his actions along with a few other players as he tipped that everyone who refused to show their commitment is set to be axed from the squad.
“We had to win and we did it. It was a good performance and we hardly ever ran risks,” he said.
“We should’ve scored a third goal and not risked at the end. It is also my fault, as those who don’t sacrifice themselves for the team to the 94th minute will no longer set foot on the field.
“It wasn’t just Balotelli, there were another two or three as well as him, they know who I’m talking about.”
He only registered two starts since his move, featuring another eight times from the bench, scoring one goal so far this term.
