Alessio Romagnoli is happy to have won and believes Milan played a very good match against Palermo.
Last night Milan defeated Palermo 2-0 and it was the first time this
season in which the Rossoneri managed back-to-back clean-sheets and the
second time in total that they managed to not concede away from goal.
Last night Zapata played alongside Romagnoli as Alex watched from the
bench (Mihajlovic said Alex’s condition this season has to be managed
carefully) and the two had a good performance against Palermo.
“It was important we won and we’re pleased. We put in an
excellent performance, we scored two early goals and then controlled the
proceedings,” Romagnoli told Milan Channel after the match. “We kept the ball well and we had a great game. We have a good group of players and I think that is clear to see.
“Everything changes according to the results, but the coach
always tells us the same things before we take to the pitch, and we
always aim to give our best. Alex and Zapata? They are both excellent
defenders and I enjoy playing alongside them. We now have two important
matches coming up.
“Our aim is to win both of them before we take on Napoli.” Despite
the disastrous start, the Rossoneri have stabilized at the back and now
have the joint-fifth best defense in Serie A (25 goals conceded).
